Frequently Asked Questions
How many movers do I need for my move?
For apartments of approximately 20–40 m², 2 movers are usually sufficient (Package A). For approximately 50–80 m², we recommend 3 movers (Package B), and for larger apartments and houses, 4 movers (Package C). During the free site visit, we will determine the right team size together.
Are there surcharges for floors, weekends, or travel?
No, not within Vienna. There are no additional charges for travel to your address, mileage, floors, or weekend bookings. A heavy-item surcharge applies only to individual items weighing 80 kg or more, such as safes or heavy display cabinets. Outside Vienna, travel time is charged according to the time required.
How do I arrange a temporary no-parking zone for my move in Vienna?
In Vienna, MA 46 approves temporary no-parking zones for moving trucks. We submit the application and put up the signs for you. This costs €150 for one address or €300 for both the collection and delivery addresses, including VAT. Are my belongings insured during the move?
You can purchase additional transport insurance. It costs 0.5% of the insured value, equivalent to €50 for every €10,000 of insured household belongings, and covers damage during transport. Please carry cash, jewellery, and important documents yourself, as these are not insured.
Is furniture disassembly and reassembly included in the price?
Yes, disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture are included in the hourly rate. For kitchens, fitted furniture, and other carpentry work, we can provide a carpenter at €60 per hour, including VAT.
Do you also transport pianos?
Yes. Transporting an upright piano costs €120, including VAT, plus €20 per floor. A baby grand piano costs €170 plus €25 per floor. If piano transport is booked separately from a move, a minimum booking of 2 hours applies.
Can I cancel my move free of charge?
Yes, cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. For cancellations less than 48 hours before the appointment, we charge the minimum booking of 2 hours.
Do you also work on weekends and in the evenings?
Yes. We carry out moves every day of the week, including weekends and evenings, with no weekend surcharge. On weekdays, our teams start at 8 a.m.
How do I pay?
Private customers can pay by cash, bank transfer, or card once the move is completed. If you pay in cash, you receive a payment receipt on the spot. Your invoice is sent separately by email. Business customers can pay by bank transfer.
